I've come across a strange little framelock recently, and I thought I'd share some pictures and give a little review. There are a lot of odd things going on here, and I apologize for the crappy pictures. It's difficult to get my iPhone camera to focus because of the mirror polish, and my camera battery charger has gone missing.
First, it seems heavily inspired by the CRKT KISS (I haven't seen any other knives that have just one side of a frame, not to say that there aren't any). There's a small quarter-circle of G10 that keeps the edge from being exposed when the knife is closed.

Secondly, the whole blade has a full mirror finish. The blade steel is unspecified, but, given that it cost me 14 bucks shipped from the UK, I doubt it's anything other than a mystery stainless.
It has some things I've never seen before on ANY knife:

Some positive features:

Some negative:

The blade steel seems to be very soft, to the point that the lockbar seems to be wearing on the tang. For some reason, though, I feel that it would serve me well on a trip out into the woods. (I'd bring a backup, of course.)
Overall, it's a neat curiosity. It was cheap, and, even though I probably won't ever really carry it, it's a nice thing to have just to try to figure out.

It has some things I've never seen before on ANY knife:
- The blade is actually thinner than the frame.
- The edge is concave on one side, convex on the other. Odd detail for a $14 knife. Odd feature in general. I can't figure out how that adds to the functionality at all.
- The thumb opening hole is neatly positioned right over the brand logo.

- Here's the real kicker - the blade has FOUR tips. Four. Four tips. Four of them. What.
- It's partially serrated, but, unlike any other knife I've seen, it's serrated in the middle of the blade. The bottom and top of the blade are plain-edged.
Some positive features:
- Thick framelock, with solid and early lockup.

- Very good detent - kinda makes me wish this was a flipper.
- It has a rounded spine, which is always nice.
Some negative:
- I've never been a fan of carabiner carry systems. I might attach a clip I have kicking around.
- SUPER dull on arrival, and the grind makes me question how to even begin to sharpen it.
- The serrations seem kinda uselessly shaped and positioned for any kind of utility tasks. I seriously doubt it could go through any kind of rope.
- It also has the model branded onto the other side of the frame. Kinda tacky.
