Hi Everybody,

It has been suggested that if you have a certain Busse "IN-House" that it should be listed so that everyone would know if you had it to make sheaths with.

What do you all think should we list them or make a sticky of what we have "In-House" ?

I have not been doing this as long as some of the other sheath makers out there, and dont really know if there is a special way of making everyone aware of the knives we have or do not. That being said, I try, on my web site to show the people who are interested in my products, as much as I have to offer. I dont have every knife I own on the site listed for sheath making, but I should.

I guess it comes down to how each individual buisness would like to promote its items that are available.

I wish I could have them all! :D Send me your knives...:o

Hope I understood the question, I've been drinking a lil':p

David -- Not a bad idea, but I just check the makers website to see what blades/templates they have listed. Of course, there is always email to double check. Maybe the Mods will let all you Kydex benders and leather cutters have a sticky to list your available models. Srue would make it easier for all us non-talented Hogs. :D ;)

You've got a good role model to look up to. :D :D

I have most of mine listed on my site, well most, it needs to be updated.

I've been at it so long now that the list of patterns is longer than my list of knives.

A list here wouldn't be a bad idea at all. :)

I'm not into that for the same reason I'm not into posting aggregate pictures of my collection.

I'm happy to answer questions from potential customers and it works out great for both of us if I already have the knife they want a sheath for.

I think it would be appropriate to have a list somewhere on the net that people could access. Whether it is a section of your webpage, or even a Google Document spreadsheet. Then you could hot link it into your signature.

I don't think it is appropriate for you to put have a dedicated thread on BF to advertise your business though, unless you pay for a dealer membership or your own subforum.

As long as we, as customers, have some idea what you re capable of and a way to get in touch, its no trouble to shoot off an e-mail to see if you have that blade in stock.

Just my couple pesos.

Looks like I have to figure out how to up-date my site.

Dang ol' ex-wife did all the internet/web site stuff, now I got to work with the thinkin' box.

i always just ask them if they have it.that only takes 2 seconds.

i dont think a list is an absolute must have but its not like it would hurt although if i had as much INFI as some people around here i dont know that i'd want to advertise it all.its a long, long shot but it could be tempting to the "knife collecting scum bags" that do exists like the ones who pull scams on the for sale forums.

most busse arent numbered and could be sold easily while the personalized ones and numbered ones would be hard to get rid of without getting caught.

just a paranoid, rambling, tequila soaked thought of mine at 3 am

Yer afraid of massive PM's asking to buy your good stuff? ROTFL!!!

(I understand your reluctance. Just messin wit'ya, Mike.)

I'd really appreciate seeing a list posted here.

Thanks for the idea, David.

BTW, what ever happened about your theft at BLADE?

Dave didnt mention pictures, just lists, but thats not a bad idea either. :p

also it would be a great idea for you to post pictures of the booze you have on hand so i know whether to stop by or not....

Yes. Please include address and hours when gun toting family, friends and co-workers have all vacated the premises. BTW, do you have any dogs?

Dave

I think that is a good idea. There are times I dont want to send off a knofe for sheath work but want to get a sheath for it. I have in the past made a decision amungst reliable sheath makers based on who has the ability to make the sheath without me shipping the knife.

Having the info available is a help to customers.
