Please let me explain...
a few weeks ago pmew asked this question about his pic, and a few posts later I replied the guess of Curling stone...well, shortly I had a PM requesting my info from pmew, he said that he had a little something to send my way, and that it really wasn't much...he also said "don't twiddle your thumbs, things take a while to get here from there" so I kind of just put it out of my head...
Day before yesterday I spy a blue label on a parcel, Royal Mail, par avion, as it were

In the very nice letter enclosed Paul included some really cool background info on Mr. Ablett, and the Sheffield cultlery trade as well, a most enjoyable read that makes this knife all the more special to me!

I really like the way the stag covers are shaped on this Barlow, the swell acts as a nice grip in hand...

In the past I had admired these knives in some postings by Scruffuk, and even commented at one point that it was a shame they are unavailable over this side of the pond...
I still can hardly believe that I have one in hand, This place never ceases to amaze me!
I absolutely love this handmade Barlow, and am blown away by your generosity with this gesture Paul.
Thank You so Very Much!

Peanut again. The patina is developing nicely. Three points to the first person to tell me what it's sitting on. View attachment 355743
