I just received this beautiful mango Leuku from MajorD. I was not that interested in the Leuku model until I saw the black curly mango one that sold a few weeks back. It took awhile to sell and I was definitely tempted. When this green curly mango one came up on the flea market, I could't resist. It feels great in the hand. It is the only 3/16" fiddleback I own and the taper on it gives it an amazing balance. I don't have any safe queens, so now I just have to figure out if I can use something this beautiful. Holding it makes me really appreciate the Leuku as a model. Not the greatest pics, but here she is.....

We make them to be used.andy likes it that way
It is awesome btw

That green mango really is nice. I like how that tang is tapered but not too thinly, good for a knife that size and should b a very solid user.

That green is terrific. Maybe I can score another model in another color to match that black. I'm so impressed every time I pick mine up.
Congrats.

Beautiful Leuku Tod! I know that most people prefer the 4" models, but I love the 5" Fiddlebacks the best. The Leuku is a nimble and versatile knife that balances very well with a tapered tang like yours. I think that you will enjoy using it for a lot of tasks.

Note to Dave: I am sorry that this one didn't meet your handle size expectations. You definitely "need" to score a Camp Knife.

I am glad that this deal worked out for both parties.

Phil I am simply a freak. I like a beefy hand filling handle, especially on a 5" knife. I am with you on 5" blades. I think they are the perfect size for all around use. I know I am in the absolute minority but I am not a fan of tapered tangs on larger knives. I'm not a backpacker so my knives go into a pack for hunting camp or camping. Even if I take a day hike I am not concerned with weight. I'm a big guy and I'm just not comfortable with thin. (Thank goodness my wife isn't either! :D) I will have a camp knife soon. That said, that Leuku was stunning! I am so glad Tod grabbed it. It needs to be used.

Tod,
That is one stellar Leuku!

Great grab that fits in very nice with your collection

Beautiful knife, and if it's any reassurance I use all of my knives. Not a single safe queen, whether it be a FF or any of my others. First FF I bought I took camping 3 days later.

Tod,
That green mango is one good looking set of scales. Love how it has a holographic quality to it.

The Leuku makes so much sense to me, I'm just going to have to try one someday. I was already pining for one before Phil's review a while back. Now it's an ache. 😄

On another note, it's peculiar how my tastes evolve as I see more of what Andy & crew put put. At first, the dyed woods had no appeal to me whatsoever. But now, every once and again I see something green or blue and I think, "Hmmmm....maybe that would be nice."

Tod, that Leuku looks fantastic! I'm loving the green and blue curly mango that's been coming out of the shop.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. The black, blue and green curly mango are all stunning to me. That black ash burl on the knife connection bushcrafter is also very appealing to me. I hope to see more of that.
