Curly Maple Greeness...

This is a really cool Randall Model #19-5 'Bushmaster' knife I picked up a few months ago - it has a few really light sheathing/polishing blade scratches, probably making it a user unless refinished, but gawd, it sho' is pretty!

The handle is customer supplied (CS) stabilized tiger-striped curly maple burl wood, impregnated with green resin - it looks much/much better in person. Almost translucent, you can look into it for what seems like a quarter inch...very cool stuff

That block of koa talks to me the same way. No, I won't post the photo again; you've already seen it. But I know what you mean.
