Here is my latest knife. i made it for my dad and used scraps from mandolins he makes for the scales. I did a positive rope file work pattern, which takes forever to shape and polish!! I have never seen a positive rope pattern, but i am sure i am not the first to do it. The guard has a functional bottle opener incorporated, which my dad assured me does not bother his finger while in use. I made the stamps for the leather tooling, and added the tassels to give it a bit of an old mountain man look.
I welcome all questions, comments, and even most criticism:D

on another note, i finally finished my anvil and have been practicing moving metal by re-shaping some tongs so that they will actually hold someting! I'm loving it!!

That's a nice looking little knife and sheath combo. Your dad will love that. I know I would.
