I don't know if that title makes sense...........But what current Buck knives are being produced that you just have a hunch that they'll be discontinued and you will wish you had bought multiples of, and haven't yet. A few years ago, you could get a paperstone 110 for around $20. I bought one and loved it and figured there was no hurry, at $20, I can alway pick a couple more up later. I didn't and now my lone 110 ecolite/paperstone is a safe queen because they are so highly priced, I'd hate to lose the one i have. (I did try to buy and extra 110, the online store sent a 112 paperstone instead and I just kept that one.) Other past Bucks I let slip through the cracks are the yellow delrin 300 series. I have one 309 and could have should have picked up more........
Current knives that I think I might probably regret not buying more of, the 501. I have one vintage one that I really like. For me, about the perfect size and proportioned knife. Can be carried in your pocket easily, but has a nice sheath you can use as well, not very expensive. I always plan on buying another, and whatever is next to it in the display case usually catches my eye and I come away with a different knife. Same with the 55, I have one and I hear rumors every year that it is going to be discontinued. Also, the brass and wood 300 series I feel like could go the way of the yellow 300 series. I have one 301 brass and wood and it is a great knife, I probably should have more for backups. Also, maybe the vantage series doesn't seem to get much love with all of the new Bucklites that are out.
What are your thoughts on current great Buck knives that we might miss in a few years?

easy bg42s steel models, 186s, 560s, 639s, longer blades 192s and various odds and ends versions of still current models. on older stuff.

newer stuff I have most of what i like already....so not too worried. plus secondary market always allows for more if i change my mind.

A 110; 112; 103 and 119 with a 5160 blade?

A 110 and/or 112 with CPM-154 blade and Elk covers (to match the 301 Forum knife)?

Funny, the yellow delrin 309 is the only one I missed, still watching for a deal. It's not the current Bucks I regret not buying so much as wishing I had started collecting Bucks 30 years ago knowing what I know today...

Build outs and Web specials! And not just buying them but keeping them..From 2007 to around 2012 Buck gave us incredible deals on odd knives that were priced extremely well. I bought some (mostly 112's) but passed on many that easily sell now for multiple times the original cost. Worse was the fact at Christmas during that same time frame we were giving presents to extended family members and it was easy to grab some of the knives I did manage to add to the collection. Bucks at Christmas became...well expected. A Buck that I paid less than $20.00 (think Ecolite) now sells for 3 times that. I really don't regret giving the folks I love a great Buck but I sure do wish I had bought many more non 112's build outs to trade with now.

I have a feeling that with all the other small lightweight lockbacks they produce the alumni may not last.

I've still gotta get one, but it seems like the small lightweight lockbacks that sell most are the ones like the 425 and 283 which you can find at hardware and sporting goods stores everywhere.

I've got a list of knives to purchase that's about a dozen or so. I'm worried all of them (especially the dealer exclusives) may vanish before I get them purchased. The number of models out right now, just from buck, is pretty boggling a and it's hard sometimes to prioritize purchases. It's a good problem to have though. We're lucky to have so many choices. The price hikes (I know they are necessary so buck can clear a profit) are alarming too. The prices on some (but certainly not all) models has climbed pretty steadily the last few years. The need to purchase high priced models before the price goes even higher is real.

The only one I am sorry I did not purchase when it was available is the 112 with D2 blade It wasn't a fast seller so it may never come around again.

I bought 2 of the Lil'Jacks..one for a Custom and one for display. I wish I had bought 2 more! One of the best 112's to never be available again..

I'm hoping we'll see another 112 in D2 possibly a drop point...D2 and BG42 are considered some the best user steels and Buck only made 100 or so 112 BG42 blades and the 200 Lil'jack D2 112's.. Compared to thousands of other Buck knives spread across many different models ... S35VN and S30V 112's can be found tho.

I have to say I wish I had bought more of the build outs when I could …
and some of the unique offerings at the bcci events...
lol now that I have decided to shed or trade all of my small collection of 111's it may be that one day I will regret that decision …
I kinda hate to dispose of the 111's - I have some nice ones but the saying gos cant have them all !
I sure hope there are some 111 collectors that are looking to expand their collection around the holldays …
that way they can get them selves a well deserved buck to scratch that buck feaver...
