Current Busse Order Lead times ... AND sheath?

I place an order (March 4) for a new Team Gemini LB. I have a number of them but this will be my first actually brand new Busse directly from the factory. I'm just curious
what are some recent lead times that you guys have seen for similar knives? The website said 4-14 weeks and that's a pretty big span so I just wondered if I should expect it to be on the longer end or the shorter end? I'm not trying to be impatient I'm just really excited about getting my new toy.

Also while I'm waiting what is the best sheath that I can get or have made for this knife so that it's here when the knife gets here? Thanks!
 
Mine was done in 3-4 weeks I think, a lot faster than my ASHBM which took almost 2.5 months.
 
My last two orders, placed in January and February, arrived in February and March, respectively. I think they both showed up right on the 28th day after ordering, right at the 4 week mark.

Seems like the older models go fairly quick, and the newer stuff taking longer makes sense due to a higher demand at present.
 
Lots of great sheath makers that are here on the forums :)

E-mail them and shop around :)

Yeah... When you ask who the best Busse sheath maker is, "Yes" is the only answer. Pretty much everyone who does them professionally will make you happy. :)
 
Does busse send out an email with a tracking number when it's ready to ship? Or does it remain a surprise up until it's on your doorstep?
 
You get billed for it, then within the next two weeks you get an email with a tracking number.
 
I ordered mine March 4th and I was billed for the full amount the day before yesterday and got an email that day that said it would ship within 10 business days. I went with black micarta and tanker grey.

The problem I have now is which sheath to get? I see a bunch of people talking about using the specops sheath but I don't know which one to order. I at least want to get one of those for now while I think
about it.

The one that the TGLB fits is the Combat Master Knife Sheath, Long Spec Ops Sheath..
