Took a pic today of my current EDC in my rotation. Its a Weidmannsheil lockback. Its got sheep horn scales and is small enough to go in any pocket conveniently. I've had it for a few years. The bolsters just got a little polish on the wheel. Hehe. Its got a good little carbon steel blade made in Solingen Germany. Only place I know to get them is epray.

Show us your EDC folder.

Thats one stout little folder . Sheep horn scales . That is fairly uncommon isn,t it ?

Its a plain old Becker Necker for me these days . Hard to hurt it and that way my precioussss knives don,t get scratched up . The Becker s like my old trucks bumber . A little black B:B:q: paint and it looks as good as new .

I alternate between an Opinel #10, Buck 110 and Victorinox Farmer.

I'm not sure about rare. Its easy to get sheep scaled pocketknives on epray, or even at SMKW.

Currently, I rotate a Vic Fireman or a Spyderco Tasman Salt. I have pretty much given up on carrying a carbon steel folder as the combo of pocket sweat and all the chlorine in the air makes them rust something awful. I like the fact that both of them lock in place since I do a lot of fast work with them. Sometimes I carry both. The Tasman clipped to my pocket and my Fireman riding in the leather friction sheath I made for it on my hip.

Generally, I like my SAK's non-locking, but it's nice to know that the blade isn't going to slam shut on my knuckles if i make a bad cut. Also the tools all come in handy when i'm working on a pump or automatic cleaner. I don't carry a SAK without a saw or a corkscrew. Too many little things that need sawing, and too many times when a bottle of wine presented itself with no CS to open it;)
I've had the Spyderco Tasman for about 3 months and I am impressed with this darlin'. H-1 steel is some great stuff! At my office I work around pool water, have chlorine in the air floating around, and open sealed bottles with some pretty rough stuff. I have yet to stain this blade at all. It's great for cutting 1/2" thick nylon rope too. I'm not much of a serrated edge guy. However, I just treat this knife like a Ginsu 2000. Eventually it'll stop cutting and I'll have to start sawing. No biggie. I plan on getting a PE version as funds allow.

Looks like today is a Tasman day:)

Neat one, HD!

Currently I'm carrying a medium Douk Douk and a Nessmuk styled knife from Sarge. The last few months previously I've been carrying a Puukko that I'd made.

Leatherman Juice. Camillus Heat.

Bark River Micro Slither and a hand-made skean shu, but those don't count.

Small plain sebbie w/silver titanium whatnots. Still not as smooth as my old one, which I lost last year due to a combination of stupidity and bad fashion.

here's mine, I love the assisted opening, Also I have found I need to have a knife with a clip on it, I am not a belt guy and I am nototious for losing stuff out of my pockets, this thing clips on to one of my smaller cargo pant pockets perfectly.

I'm not big into tach-ish knives, but I like the recurve on that one FT. And, welcome, btw. If you're into recurves, you may have found a home.

the first one I had was more tach-ish, had a black handle and blade and the blade was half serrated. I learned that serrations are pointless for me from that knife, I lost it on my mom's farm somewhere. I just bought this one last week

Serrations are good if you cut rope.

I carry an EKA Executive, I got it a few months back from Ragnar and it's been in my pocket since. Love the thing, nice lock, fairly stout, and very simple. Seems to take a real nice egde and hold it pretty well too. I'm a fan.

Well I usually try to switch it up every day, rotating between the BM630 Skirmish (aka my pocket sword), Darrel Ralph EDC in 154CM, and the Buck Sirius (ka-thwack! The stiffest, thickest liner lock I've ever seen).

Recently however, it seems like this other knife has been sneaking in more than its fair share of pocket time:

Opinel #8 (3.5" Carbon blade) Pictured here as it looked after sanding off the orange wax and adding some tung oil, but before it had developped a nice patina.

Interesting - I considered buying a very similar knife from Ragnar but never quite crossed the temptation threshold. You've got me thinking about it again tho - especially now that I'm finding I like the wood/carbon blade combo.

Lately, it's been the Lochsa and a small-blade-of-the-day: Umfaan, Micro-Slither or Auto-Benchmite. If home alone, I pretend I need to wear the Ratweiler and the Lochsa becomes the small blade.

Nothing exciting. SAK Bantam Alox Scales. Sharp, light, attractive and beer bottle opener!

Spyderco Calyspo Jr.

My "truck" knife that I end up using a lot more than anything else is a KaBar Dozier with spear point (the cheap one, not the D2)
