hello,

which is the newest style?

i see both the 'techno' logo ones and the engraved w/ fileworked choil and thumb ramp.

thanks for your time,

Metis

I think the newest ones have the black lettering on the blade, similar to the Forum model in the pic.

Yes, as I understand it the new ones have the big, black lettering (laser engraved) with the funny A...CPM-440V steel and some inside improvements to the locking mechanism.

thanks for the help guys.

i'll be picking one up soon and sending it off to be jeweled and an electric blue clip.

hey "Think...", nice avatar. i just saw "Way of the Gun" last week. and was one of the more disturbing movies i've seen in a while. kind of like "Pulp Fiction" sans the sense of humor.

Cool! Are you talking about these guys? http://www.angelfire.com/sports/customjewelshop/knife.html
You'll have to give us a report on their work.

Thanks. WOTG is my all-time favorite movie: can't count how many times I've watched it. It doesn't really disturb me, but I like gritty movies: I find them a hell of a lot more realistic than most of the Hollywood crap out there.

sorry TOTC, should have checked the profile first.

re jeweling: i'll be sending them my daily use BM 42 'bali first to jewel the blade and handles. and maybe do the handles dark blue.

based on that i'll decide whether to trust them with my Military or not.

re movies: don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed WOTG. you're right, it was more realistic than most. kind of like "Payback" with Mel Gibson, no good guys, just winners and losers.

my favorite line from WOTG was (more or less): "yeah i 'been to prison....that means you got caught stupid!" the chemistry b/t James Kahn and Benicio del Toro was amazing!

working in a prison it's easy to tell the punks from the 'real deal'

take care,

Metis

lowtech,

i'm state. i'm not a CO, i'm a counselor for metally ill inmates.

A line I quite enjoyed [and I might be paraphrasing a bit]:

"Fifteen million dollars isn't money! Money is what you take to the grocery store to buy milk." :D
