After dwelling over this issue for a while now, I have decided to put a freeze on taking any additional orders. All orders that have already been accepted will still be completed. I never thought I would have to do this, but my orders are piled up and 16 hour days are starting to have effects on me and my family. I will continue to create knives as fast as I can, after I fulfill my obligations to working full time at Fiddleback Forge Please bare with me during this change, I would like to get caught up on existing orders and prep for an upcoming show and the holiday season. Thank you for all of the support!!!!

Success is an interesting phenomenon in a small business venture......if only cloning was an option. Best wishes in managing through this success driven transition. Above all family first !

I agree with Peter here Allen. A tough choice, but one that appears necessary due to the awesomeness you create.

Thank you for the warm thoughts my friends. Not closing up shop by anymeans, I just don't feel right telling someone it will soon be 4-5 months out on a knife. I will still be posting in Fiddleback Friday every week and posting sale threads from time to time. Just want to get the current orders caught up and I hope in the process that I do not loose any of you great customers!

Hey Allen, I am glad the demand has gotten so great that you hve to take this step. Good luck my friend, and keep on keeping on.

Allen, I'm glad your business is booming, you make some awesome knives! Feel free to take your time with my order, or just push it to the end! :)

From the looks of your work it's no wonder your busy. Success is good, too much success can suck. Take your time with mine, I'm not in any great hurry.

See what you did Allen, now we all want to be LAST! :encouragement:

Allen, upon thinking about this, I'm not sure I can wait... I WANT MINE NOW! respect my authoritah

A bunch going through the paces in various stages

Even my youngest is helping out, lol!

I hope to see some of those bad boys make it back to the WAS thread for show by their new owners. I see a few new releases in there as well. It will be nice to see them with the end users. Great stuff!

That is a great shot of your son working together with Dad at the shop......priceless !

Peter

Family first!! I am glad I got an order in and like others have said no worries on the wait. The knives in the box look awesome!!!! Like Peter said, great shot of your son helping out. Very cool.

Really like the work in progress pics. I need to build some box organizers like that, it would certainly simplify some things around here.
