To be honest, these are not "on my bench." My bench is covered with a jumble of tools.

But these can be found on a nearby table:

And here's is a drawing I worked up, which I thought would make a nice little EDC. I ran out of bar stock, so this one will have to wait.

BTW, that clip point pattern is the first clip point I have made in several years. Drop points seem to be more popular these days.

I welcome feedback about the designs and what they would be useful for.

They all look pretty versatile to me, except the "belly skinner." That one is pretty specialized.

They are all new designs for me, except the puukko.

I have never done any kind of kephart before, so I am excited about that.

I forgot to mention this is all 1/8" A2 bar stock.

All look like some good useful designs. At that thick they should make some good useful blades.

Thanks for the feedback.

This one is pretty much profiled the way I want it now. All cleaned up around the edges:

I hope the handle isn't too wide. I have a tendency to design wide handles.

The Kephart is getting there. The front part is mostly profiled the way I want it, and I just have a little more material to remove around the edges of the tang:

These are all getting flat grinds.

I start the bevels on the 2X42 grinder, but I am afraid to go too far with that grinder. It is a crazy beast. So I just take a little off with the grinder, then I doo the rest by hand. I have a hand filing jig. I rough in the bevels with a Magicut file, then move to a finer cut file, then 120 grit sandpaper, and so on.

The four on the right, in this picture, now have the bevels roughed in:

I, too, like the second from the left. The first one is also useful looking. The others with a bump sticking out at the ricasso look like they would be better without it. Ask yourself what that bump will do for the knife? Tastes differ, but I would grind those bumps off.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have a hard time getting sheaths to retain the knives. I don't know how many times I have wet formed a sheath, only to find that when I hold the sheath upside-down, and shake, the knife falls out. I love the secure feeling of a cam, and the cam needs something to rub against.

Also, the one second-from-right is a kephart, and all the kepharts I have seen, have the bump.

Also, some people like a "guard" to keep the hand from sliding forward. The bump at least reminds you of where your index finger is, in relation to the cutting edge. Not a guard, but better than nothing.

Thanks for all the feedback. I did grind down the bumps a little, on two of them. I think the Kephart looks a lot better with a reduced bump.
