Here is a super Curt Erickson art dagger that never made it to the bladeforums pages. Rather than have lotsa stats take up a bunch of room, let's just let the image do the talking.
Yep, most of Curt's handle material is of stone, as was Buster's later in life. This one is some form of jade, as I recall. It has a very dark green cast to it, with some gorgeous pinpoints in it. I'll try to find out what this particular stone is, I have it somewhere.
There is allot going on in this dagger. Love the blade and guard where they come together. I see hearts, spades, fire and flair. Outstanding work and a real "Art Dagger"
One of the finest I've seen in a long time. Thanks for showing it.
Another spectacular piece by Curt. The blade is simply stunning almost like a flame. Awesome lines and beautiful jade handle. Of course the engraving is as good as it gets. There is a lot more gold than one might think on this one. I especially like the gold rings and how the butt cap seems to come to a point. Really cool design all around. This is a very nice post for a great knife and maker.
