This chute was shown in a thread some time ago, but only recently did it end up in a Paul Long sheath. Justice had never been done the pair, since they had never been shown together - so here they are. Not very often one of my Ericksons is in leather, but it HAD to be Paul's, if it was.

I hope Curt brings some fighters to Blade, but haven't seen a one yet.

Wow. What a great pair. I really like the fact that the blade height from edge to spine appears to be "taller" than I am used to seeing on a chute knife. Looks better to my eye. Some chute knives seem, to my eye, to have skinny blades.

As we have come to expect from these Erickson/Warenski knives: spectacular!

And as we have come to expect from Paul Long: beautiful sheath!

One minor "minus": I think the makers mark should be more discrete.

Kind regards,

Jos

PS. Thanks for posting these beauties, keep 'em coming!

Hi Jos-

Actually, that's Curt's old maker's mark (the chute was made in 2008, as I recall), from before he moved to Washington, Utah. Here's a fighter of mine with the new mark, actually it's the first knife he made with the new mark.

Best,

Bob

And another beauty it is Bob! I love the amount of detail in those knives!

And yes, that new makers mark looks much better!

Thanks again for posting these beauties.

Kind regards,

Jos

Bob - you know those push all my buttons; the stag one in particular.
