This is one of the daggers Curt had at ECCKS that, luckily, came my way. Besides this one, he sold his most expensive dagger and two others that he took, going home with a couple (I think a glorious fighter and a boot) which can be seen on the "Available" page of his website.

Hope you all like the image, which of course is another Coop masterpiece.

THATS THE ONE!! Yeah i saw it in NY and was my favorite at their table. LOVE the steel and the handle material was awesome in person (not that it isn't in the photo)

I saw it also and it is quite lovely. beautiful work. congrats

Unbelievable... Wow...

I was just having an email conversation about the levels of "perfection" at different price points and what's acceptable "flaws" or asymmetries etc...
This one is perfect...
Beautiful grind, stunning damascus and the engraving is flawless.
There is just so much to look at here.
Nice photo.... (as usual)

That's beautiful Bob. What's the handle material?

Their work is just so clean.
Congrats

Jonathan, maybe one day we'll partially convert you to an art dagger guy, lol.

Kevin, the handle material is Pietersite. Overall length is 12" with 7" blade.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

Bob, this is my favorite one of Curts by a longshot. Mainly because of the damascus blade and the darker colors that were used (bluing, french grey and handle). It gives IMO the knife more (and a darker) presence in comparison to his daggers with monosteel blades. Did Curt forge the steel himself?

Marcel

PS 1 Do you by chance have a picture of the art dagger he sold to the Russian collector.

PS 2 Nice fighter on his website too.

Marcel, unfortunately Coop didn't image the dagger sold to the Russian. It was imaged by Point Seven, and I never get a link from them that I can use. I think I have a solution that will get it into the thread, however. Oh, the damascus is from Devin Thomas.

There is a bit more detail on the button than you might have noticed. Just want to point that little part out, as the french grey on hot-blued button is a beautiful touch not to be missed.

That is just a stunning piece in every respect. I like everything about it, but particularly the blade shape and damscus pattern.

Bob,

That's a beautiful knife. I think that the damascus really adds to it.

Coop did a great job as usual.

Bob, didn't think you would mind my posting the fighter from Curt's website.
It's very nice and a little out of his norm.

Excellent idea, Kevin. While Curt's favorite is the dagger, he was exceptionally well taught by Buster when it comes to his fighters.

OK, Marcel, the dagger Kevin just posted is one big honkin' sugilite-handled dagger with gold, platinum, french grey and amethyst. It's the one that was sold to the Russians. It should be mentioned that the "filigree" is by Curt, rather than by Julie, as most might suspect.

Knives worthy of kings.

I don't know you personally, Bob, but are you of royal blood,
ruler of a small kingdom with a beautiful castle?

Great collection you have there!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
