Curt Erickson Fighters/Sheaths - Engraving by Julie Warenski

Here are a couple recent pieces. I believe one was an order (the buffalo horn dirk) and the other (mammoth ivory) was one of several fighters made up for Curt and Julie's trip to the Milan show earlier this year.

Unfortunately, with the pressures of the upcoming publication of the David Darom book on Julie (featuring lotsa Warenski and Erickson stuff, too!), they simply couldn't spare the time for the trip - missing out on what would have been lotsa fun and excitement, I'm sure. As it turned out, everything they had for the show sold out almost right after they realized they just wouldn't be able to attend because of the time pressures. Any more, every time he makes up a fighter that's not an order, it's gone, boom.

Hope you like.

Impressive work, the knives, the sheaths and the engravings.

But... something seems "not right" on the second one... I prefer double-edged, symmetrical blades like that to have a symmetrical handle.

Kind regards,

Jos

Here Bob, are three of Curt Erickson's recent fighters from his
section in Julie's book...

All the best,

Two winners in my book... The three that David posted as well... My personal favorite is the fighter in Bob's pictures.. Thanks for giving us a look.. Like most, I am eager to see DDD's book upon completion. Best Regards Bob, Rich Slaughter

Here is another page from Julie's 160 page book with
5 more of Curt Erickson's relatively small art knife beauties.

All embellishing was of course done by Julie...

All the best and A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
David
