Though I was not able to attend the Solvang show, it appears to have been quite a successful event. I thought I would share this fantastic piece made by Curt and of course embelished by Julie. Here is the catalog description.

"This knife is a California style with double ground 6 3/4" blade and 11 1/2" overall length. The handle is coffin style wrapped in German silver. Handle inlays are hot blued steel with gold inlay and gold lip pearl insets. Guard fittings are German silver with hot blued steel. Full metal German sheath with blued button. Fully engraved, gold inlay, and carved by Julie."

Truly one of my all time favorites that now resides with one very lucky collector.

An outstanding example of the art created by the this great team.

Enjoy, Jon

Wow that knife looks to have ben made for a king. If I am seeing things right, it looks as if the flowers are carved from pearl and held in place with a gold pin. If so, that is off the chart.

What a nice way to start my day. Thanks for showing this work of art. The handle, sheath and engraving make my heart skip a beat.

Curt & Julie did a outstanding job on that piece. I unfortunately missed out on it , however meeting Curt & Julie as well as seeing the knife in person was a real highlight. Some gorgeous knives were presented at Solvang. Thanks for showing it, who ever was drawn was very fortunate indeed.

This San Francisco dagger is definitely one of my all-time favorites from Curt and Julie. It is absolutely exquisite.

Thanks for showing it, who ever was drawn was very fortunate indeed.

A gentleman who is in Dr David Darom's "The Great Collections" drew/took this one. A man with great taste indeed!

Best,
