For those of you who have Curtiss F3 in either 3.5" or 4" can you please post comparison pics to other production knives. From the few you tube vids cannot decide which size to get. I have XM18 3.5 (witch fits my S-M size hands well) but F3 looks a bit smaller so I am considering 4" version.

_DSC0012.jpg The curtiss f3 is the 3.5". The ones next to it are a Three Sisters Forge "beast" and a Sebenza 21. I have medium sized hands and the F3 feels good. The Bodega and the Laconico are both about 9" overall length. Hope this helps.

Thank you brother
BTW excellent knives you have there :applouse:

Nice TSF Beast!

I've never seen one in that configuration, looks wicked!

I could compare it with a Paramilitary 2 or a Endura 4 if youre interested?

Does anyone have a ZT 0560 they could take a comparison pic beside the large F3? Thanks as this would really help me out!

Go for the 4" model. It's not as big as others are.

Some comparison pics I have.

Edit: Sorry, but I don't have Spydercos. The 0560 is (for me at least) too big to edc. The F3 fits fine.

I assume the your F3 is 4" version if so than clearly the 4" is the way to go for me. Thanks a ton.

Are the measurements a bit off on these or did Dave really nail the blade to handle ratio on these? I was considering ordering a 3.5" until I saw how small the handle is, it looks tiny next to large Sebenza!

I'm pretty sure that's his phenomenal blade to handle ratio. I'm now sort of kicking myself for not ordering the 4" since I like the proportions a bit better too. The 3.5 looks a little "fat."

The pictured above is the 4" model.
The handle is designed very efficient. It uses the space very good. For a 4" blade the handle is almost "small". It feels just right in hand. Not too big to edc and not too small for hard work.
If you go through the specs on Daves site, all knife-sizes measure the same handle and blade thickness. In my opinion that makes the 3,5 and especially the 2,75 too "fat". You might keep that in mind.

More help needed? Just ask.

All the best from overseas ;-)

Peter

Sorry for the late response, i live in Sweden though, so the timedifference is pretty messed up. :P
Well, here's the pic i promised. Sorry about the dirty knives, forgot to clean them from the weekends use. :)

EDIT: Strange, for some reason both of the Spydies seems ALOT bigger than the F3.. Hmm.. Maybe its the angle of the picture? Should i retake it?

EDIT 2: Gosh.. im so stupid, i lined them up at the back of the handle, not at the blade.. Sometimes...

Thanks Chili for that 0560 picture, I'll end up going with the 4" as it has around the same size blade but the handle is just a bit smaller. His books are closed for now so I have some waiting to do :grumpy: . Touch of Red, I'm guessing that is the 3.5" F3?

Thanks for the update bro (love the bronze ano on pivot), it gives a nice idea size-vise on 3.5 version
The 3.5 does look stubby but stout - I will go with the 4" version
