Curtiss F3 Show & Tell

I noticed there is not a Curtiss Custom Knives thread so figured I would get one going!

Have loved all my Curtiss F3 Knives.
Definitely the American version of the Shirogorov when it comes to action.
Lockup is perfect out the box at 40% and solid.
Styles like the Oval Tac like mine in the Vid really brings the weight down.
The Oval Tac weigh just a tad more than say an Umnumzaan.
This one in the Vid weights 5.5oz

My Large F3 plain. I originally intended to send it back to Curtiss for some detail work, but sadly, he changed his mind about doing alters on pre existing knives.
It may eventually be sold to fund the purchase of a custom F3 instead. I don't really use it much, mostly due to the weight of it.

Curtiss is much busier than I thought and you’re right about the weight, that turned me off at first. But then he came out with a few styles that are much lighter. Still not 4oz....but I like the feel. If they weigh too little doesn’t feel right either.

I also really like the deep milled Frag pattern! Funny thing, the deep milled Frag pattern and the Oval Tac like mine weigh exactly the same....weird. Looks alone you would swear the OvalTac would weigh less for sure, lol.

So my next purchase will be a Medium Frag. But have to wait till I set funds aside or.....sell something

I like the look of either the frag pattern, or the mil-tac pattern. Either way, less weight, but more money!

Man I've been considering these forever. Good call on starting this thread OP! Like others, the weight always put me off, but that Oval Tac version looks perfect.
