Was going to be my first custom. Hoping I'll have some kind of priority when Dave opens up his regular list for the F3. I love that knife.

Update: Things work out. Came across another LE Curtiss at an even better price. Very nice knives.

Do you know if that collab was supposed to be making an all blacked Curtiss knife? I was never sure and am still new to the custom knife game. I would love to get a 3.5 f3, but they're so hard to find.

I don't think it was supposed to be DLC coated, but probably the two-tone acid stonewash, which is sort of dark. Part of the blade and the scales were going to be "murdered" by Chris Martin in a process called "shredding." They're also heat anodized in a way that creates a kind of rainbow look. It's cool if you like that sort of thing, but they couldn't work out the details. As soon as Dave catches up to is order list he'll open the list up again, and has some new tweaks. A new version of the F3 might have a fail safe blade lock. I sort of got lucky, and while everyone was away at G5 one of the 3.5" Fort Henry F3s came up for sale and I bought it. So I got an F3 after all! Would like to get a 4" anodized dark greenish blue. Would look great with the dark stonewash.
