Howdy folks, long time lurker, rare poster. I just got hard into making knives, gotta love the combo of a shattered leg and youtube channels like Grimsmo to make you get into new areas of playing.

Here's my snag in the latest build: I have a backswept skinner I just made some grips for and I'm going to be finishing up soon. I want to make a kydex sheath for it, but in my test run the blade got locked up in the sheath because of the curve like I thought it would. I've made many pistol holsters out of kydex for myself and friends, so I understand how to make straight pull type sheaths. But this blade is making life.....interesting lol. Any suggestions or help? Thank you all for any helop/suggestions.

If you've got a pic you can post that would help. What I've done in the past is I'll put a dowel or shape a piece of plywood to ride on the inside of the curve during the casting, that way you've got the room to actually draw the knife. you will want to use material that is either as thick as the spine, or a little thinner. If you use anything larger than the knife thickness the kydex won't really grab on the flats of the blade near the dowel.
