Whats up guys, what style blade do you like? Curved like a hawkbill or kukri, drop point, clip point, or bowie, or straight like a tanto. Forget utility wise, just whats your favorite? & WHY? Merry Christmas Ever'one:thumbup:

I like different versions of them all really.

Bowie's are probably my favorite, followed by wharncliffe and then tanto's.:emot-yarr:

A wharncliffe is a blade with a (usually) totally straight cutting edge. I like all different blade shapes but drop point is usually my favorite...who would've thought? :D

I prefer a traditional clip point or a spear point with false edge on top. Mostly used for hunting deer and hogs.

Whats a wharncliffe?

Straight edge, it differs from a sheepsfoot in that the spine starts curving down much earlier, resulting in a much finer tip. My personal favorite for typical, city EDC work.

Ignoring practicality, persian style with a vicious point-- like the Emerson folder. I'm partial to anything stabby, aesthetically. Wharncliffes look really cool too.

Bowies followed by tanto, and by tanto I mean like my custom Pohan Leu.

Here's a pic (not my own pic) of an HTM Gunhammer that I also have.

I like a blade with a nice curve to it, but no recurve. A Leaf shaped blade strikes a nice balance between what I find practical and what looks nice, to me.
