A couple pics of my Little Collection. Hope you enjoy!

My Wife asks me how many more kukris I'm planning to buy, "All of 'em" (she thinks I'm joking ;))

Nice collection! Looks like you have some Modern Cold steel's, Classic WWII or earlier models, modern H.I.'s and a few in between. Very cool!

Yeah, it's an eclectic collection, my favorite is the MKII (fourth from the left). I was very surprised at how similar in size and feel the Cold Steel is to the MKII, another surprise was the CS RajahII definitely a kukri (despite being a CS folding knife).
The big chitlangi on the end was my first real Khuk, which after a few minor mods is my favorite user, my "bump in the night" knife and my go to for just about everything.

You're not the only one to notice that;) They share quite a bit. I would like to see the markings on that one. I'm guessing WWI? The WWI Mk. II's seem a bit more fancy, such as the sweep near the cho, than their WWII brethren. They're also more likely to be ringed. Thanks.

It has the Broad Arrow mark, but no other markings, other than what I understand is (was) desert camo paint on the hilt. My understanding is that the ringed handles were made as late as 1942 (possibly '43), and I don't recall hearing of any WWI's with the painted handle's so my best guess is early 1940's WWII model MKII, possibly from the N. Africa Campaign. But that is pretty much just guess-work on my part, my having no actual knowledge of these things.

You and me both brother. I listen and read, but khukuri history can be quite puzzling with a lot of gaps. From what I've seen, your Mk. II just has more of the WWI look with the sweep near the cho. You are correct, ringed variants were made in WWII, but they seem to be limited to the "MI" marked pieces, from what I've seen. The WWI Mk. IIs usually seem to have numerous markings, I believe an arrow being one of them, but I haven't seen that on a WWII specimen yet. But all of this is just my very imited knowledge. I learn more every day, and am proven wrong regularly:) If my intellectual gafs prompt someone with more knowledge to speak up and educate us, then I've done my duty:D I wouldn't be surprised at all if your piece ended up being from WWI or between wars. I'm sure some of the oldies made it into WWII service. Either way, it's absolutely gorgeous and a great part of your collection. Thanks for sharing your khuks with us kooks.

Good close ups needed of mk.2 to enable identification! All pre.41 mk.2s had ring grips, many in 42 as well.
