Custom 110's, P-L 120's gone, 408B, etc

Well, I missed Pete's call back re the 408B Kalinga Pro S30V's new delivery date - he did leave a message that my custom 110's would likely run the first of next month. That will make it two months plus. I was about to order the Pro Line 120 - and another A-G 110 S30V - from my 'wish list' at Cabela's - they sent me an e-mail regarding the wish list Pro-Line 120 yesterday afternoon. They are sold out - and a subsequent call revealed that they don't expect more stock. Well, something told me that I should order those two yesterday morning. I still don't know about the new Kalinga Pro. It may be a Christmas present... I hope for this year. I seem to have saved bucks on Bucks yesterday - sort of a 'hat trick', I suppose.

I probably jinxed my Buck-collecting yesterday morning. I was backing down the driveway - headed to the range - when I saw the postman driving down the other side of the road - he waved a package at me - I stopped. He had two - we'll just say they were other knife bargains. I didn't get much shooting in - as I fondled 'other' new knives... obviously, a significant transgression.

I may have a 120 source - I saw one in a display at an old knife store locally Saturday - marked $79! I may return... and see if they are 'firm'. If nothing else, I may just get a plain 119 - I only have the fancy brass/wood one...

PS Still awaiting my BCCI literature - sent 'em a check last week - I should be a new member soon!
 
I need to trek back to the local yokel old knife store to see what the best price I can get his 120 home would be. I've heard you can 'buy knives on line'... actually found such a place - that spoils you when you do a 120 search. Up pops a 120BR - beautiful! Sadly, gone... but they have regular 120's, albeit for a bit more than the P-L versions.

I may have to break the 'Buck drought' and visit Academy... they have 110's for $21+ this week.

The 120s I've gotten from that place were all 2005s with the Idaho stamp. Last time Joe checked he said that 200 had been made in 2005 and 50 in 2006, but it was unclear if any had ever gotten a 2006 stamp. I suspect none have been stamped since 2005.....maybe Joe could tell us.

It could be that when those run out there won't be any more.

The Cabela's 120s, of course, are not included in that and I don't know how many have been made or when, but if they don't expect any more to come in......sounds like curtains for the 120.

Well, I broke the Buck drought yesterday - bought another 110 - this one from Academy ($23.75 inc s/t) - it's an '06 blister packed with the black leather sheath and mentioned the 'Edge2x' on the card. It helped... a call to see why the 'backorder' had been removed from some bullets I had ordered back in Aug from Cabela's - after they told me Monday they wouldn't replenish them or the infamous P-L 120 they had run out of. Well, they shipped my bullets - and found some more 120's - yea! Bliss...

I missed another call back from Pete... don't know when I'll see the Kalinga Pro. But... I'll have a 120 soon. Maybe next I'll look at a 102 or 105 - the BR version...

Still awaiting my BCCI literature, too...
