Here is a set I finished up recently.

Chef, Utility, and paring knife. San Mai damascus over 1095 core. with Ebony and birch.

Randy, you never seize to surprise me with your ability to produce amazing pieces. I love the combination of that birch and steel pattern.
 
Beautiful knives! Can't tell from the pictures, but it appears that there is not distal taper in the tang. Am I right or is it the angle? This could change the balance point on the knife. Where is the balance point on these knives? I love that 1095 core san mai construction
 
Dan, good question. Yet with the photos I shared you could not tell anything about the taper. These knives have rounded spines.

These NEW photos will be a little better and give you a idea of the blade profile and taper.
