Ok, I need help here. All I want is to get my two 8 inch PBF's bead blast finish and micarta handled nicely. Nothing fancy, but not ugly either. Then re-edged. One of the PBF's was coated over the edge so it is as blunt as a butter knife. Anyone know who can do this.

I sent them out a while back and the person doing the work decided that INFI was more than he wanted to handle. I don't blame him, so I got them back.

Justin from Ranger Knives did a spectacular job for me, great ivory coloured micarta with beautiful mozaic pins (which he made himself) and a mirror polish !!

I would highly recommend his work, very generous on the wallet and amazing work !!

I think I have a pic of my old PBF - if you would like to see it, send me a mail and I will forward it on to you !!

Forgot to mention he can sharpen a baseball bat to cut better than a razor !!!

Dwayne also has a bead blaster and he has handled enough busses to be pretty skilled at what ever you want doing !!

Brendan, thanks, I'll pm you my email.

Dwayne who? Dwayne from the same place?

Walking man, I have a big Bull to give him instead of 10 dollers

I know Raden had someone do some BEAUUUUUUUUUUUUITFUL work for him. Can't remember who and too lazy to search. :D

Dwayne, ok, not sure i you meant a different dwayne. He might be doing a big order for me soon, so this may workout as well.

Yes, I remember that as well, but he made his PBF into a work of Art, I don't want that. I don't remember who did the work, but they did an incredible job.

ronibears was the best I have seen !!

you are correct, I do remember his being awesome, in fact I saved the pic on my computer. But I don't need that kind of work for a user.

I just mailed off my 8" PBF to a newer maker by the name of James Coogler... I should get it back by the end of next week at the latest. I asked him for a blasted blade and some grooved and more tactical handles... so he might be someone you should check out.

pm me for contact info if you want it.

Ronybear has his stuff done by Reece Weiland.
I know, I have two of his former knives, and they are SWEET.

From the Factory, never sharpened, original factory coating covering the non sharpend edge is rare, and therefore often worth a premium price to some collectors.

I have sold such knives for $100.00 to $300.00 over the then market price.

You may want to keep it till it is worth trading or selling to get another more costly knife.

Could well make some collector a very happy Hog one day.

Well, unless someone is willing to give me 100-300 over the 287 that 8" PBF cost new, it's going. In fact I am not sure I would even consider selling one of these PBF's even for 100 over. It is probably the most tactical knife Busse has ever made.

I have to agree with Cobalt... the PBF's are truly an outstanding blade profile... once my 8" is done getting a new handle and coating it will probably go with me on many upcoming adventures... though most are of a non-tactical nature.

Yes, I doubt that there is a knife n the entire busse lineup that can out penetrate the 8" PBF. Many years ago, I tested about a dozen knives on a bullet proof vest and posted the results. Some would not penetrate others would go through one side and a few went through both sides like if they were butter. The PBF was one of them. I never included it in my test because I tested it after I posted the results, but the only knife that bested it was the Bagwell Bowie for obvious reasons. But the PBF would easily take more punishment than the Bagwell.
