Hello all,
This is my first review of my Custom AK Bowie from Himalayan Imports.
First off, this is a bad-ass monster knife. I took it on a day hike over the weekend and purposely went off the beaten path. I hacked my way through a few hundred yards of bush and low branches. Then I came upon a dead tree stump on the ground and started chopping to see how the AK Bowie would fair. The heaftiness was superb and chunks were flying off at every strike. The dead stump was at least more than 1 foot in diameter, so I didn't bother trying to chop all the way through. But I'm sure the bowie would have gone through it, but it was getting dark so I headed back.
All in all, the AK Bowie lives up to its reputation. Great chopper and not as heavy as I thought it would be. Luckily, I was wearing mechanic's gloves or the vibration from the handle would have made it challenging to really swing down hard on the stump. Anyway, below are the link to the pictures.
