Custom Alox and branding

I’ve seen a number of dealers do custom color Alox models and all have the dealers branding on the scale or blade. This is an eyesore in my view, but a shame because it’s about the only way to get these colors. Is this branding a Victorinox requirement for these custom runs or just dealer choice?

Victorinox started requiring the branding on dealer customs. From a dealer’s product page for a custom color Cadet:
**Note: In order to secure another shipment of special colored Alox Cadets we were required to have [BRAND] engraved on the knife. We chose the back of the blade as the best location to keep the engraving panel blank for custom engraving. At this time all Blue & Green cadets will ship with the [BRAND] logo engraved on them, which comes directly from Victorinox that way.

I wouldn't call this an eyesore.

If I had the choice I'd opt out, but I like my green cadet enough not to mind the decent sized DLT logo on the back of the blade.

Honestly I just now remembered it was even there, I never find myself looking at the back of the blade.
