Thanks for looking,

Wow. Though not the style I'm usually interested in, thats a beautiful knife.
The sheath is absolutely outstanding. Extremely rich with the inlay on both sides.

The owner must be very pleased.

Incredible knife and sheath Jay!!

I have always admired your work and check your site often.

Well! I'm glad you finally decided to show your work in my favourite forum, Jay:thumbup::cool:.

I hope it becomes a regular occurrence, as that would really cut down on my BF surfing time;):D

In my view, you are one of the few, true Artists in custom knives.

This is, indeed, a lovely knife.

Always showing a unique style that is for sure.

Not too many makers do garish with such flair!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I keep coming back to this one as it has so much to enjoy.

Lorien, after you have been around custom knives longer perhaps you will fine there's more than just a few. ;) :)

Kevin, relatively speaking, there are only ever 'just a few' true Artists in any discipline. But thank you for reminding me of how little I know of custom knives;):).

Jay, I've been on the hunt ever since we first talked. One day I'll strike it rich! That will be a happy day for both of us:).

Thanks for the comments. About the design:

The design is atypical; the knife is designed to be pulled and carried in a reverse grip, and the angle of the blade puts the point and edge in a defensive position toward the enemy. This particular model is a collector's fine version of the same tactical Argiope I've supplied to our military for CQB in OIF 1-6. This knife and a similar model (the "Bulldog") were designed and are carried by members of the 101st Army Airborne in combat. Of course, most of theirs are flatly finished with penolic, wood, or G10 handles, and my locking kydex, aluminum, and stainless steel sheaths...

Jay, I like this knife very much, the sheath too, but my preference would be no filework. I think it would look cleaner.

WOW...that is a work of art. Stunning knife design, great looking jasper and exceptional sheath. Did you also do the engraving? I like filework, but my preference would be running vine style to compliment the curves of the engraving.

Pleasure seeing it.

Thanks Peter.
All the work, including the engraving, is mine. The vine filework can definitely be done also!

haven't been to your site for a bit Jay. You've been busy, eh?

That's gorgeous. I think that orange jasper you use occasionally is my favorite handle material as far as appearances go. I need to get a better job than McD's if I want to ever own one but I can always dream.

I don't think I've ever seen a knife before that reminded me of both a karambit and a falcata.
