It was a longer wait than I had expected, but my custom Brend Hatchet finally arrived today from ATC. It was definitely worth the wait!

This started out as a limited edition American Tomahawk Brend Hatchet made from Diamondite (enhanced CPM 3V). Then Justin Gingrich of Ranger Knives polished it and fitted thick handle scales of desert ironwood. It sure does feel great in my hand!
It also came out of the box with a scary edge. I discovered this while foolishly trying to fit the head back into the padding it came in. The blade went through three layers of foam, several layers of strapping tape, and part of my hand, all without any sense of resistance. A couple of butterfly bandages seem to have fixed my problem, but I will definitely show it more respect in the future. (This is the first time I've cut myself on a blade in more than 20 years.)
This is an awesome weapon and tool!
