Custom ball cage for Manix?

In today's world of custom aftermarket parts for nearly everything, why doesn't anyone make custom colors or materials for the Manix ball cage? Seems like a natural customization. Black and clearish are cool, but how about GID or jade or blurple?

Or maybe they are out there any my Google-fu is weak?
 
If memory serves me right, there was a fella attempting to make a titanium or steel ball cage. Pretty sure at least one was produced but it's a patented design and the thread kind of just fizzled out. I'm assuming they didn't find the requisite legal legwork to be worthwhile.

That being said, I'd love one. The little plastic piece just detracts from the otherwise impeccable quality of the Manix.
 
With all the limited editions and sprint runs they make, you'd think someone would have thought to tweak the color of the cage.
 
I believe he made a few, but the design really didn't work as well as the OEM. I'd like to see one made of Ti as well. The popularity of the Manix seems to be picking up steam, so hopefully this might finally come to fruition.
 
It'd have to be made of some sort of plastic or polymer. I would think any sort of metal could rub the liners, or worse the blade, causing scratches and gritty lock action.
