Anyone have any thoughts on who the maker of this custom barrel knife may have been? The only info I have is that the maker travelled to the U.S. once a year to attend a show. Also, why the rough surfaces on the blade? Is there a particular name for that effect? The steel appears to be laminated. Thanks in advance.
