CUSTOM! BK-13 "Remora" with black micarta

Hey guys, heres my first attempt at customizng a becker!
Ok so didnt like the original handle of the remora as the whole thing felt awkward and kinda uncomfortable to hold so ground it down and made a set of black micarta for it (held on with 2 ton epoxy) and just for effect I changed the blade shape a bit to give it more of a BK-11/14 look. It doesent show very well in the picture but the blade has been given a half decent convex edge over the standard V edge...The Remora now has a decent kydex sheath for it now and new pics can be found later in this thread. As always, let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions! Also as a side note, I hate working with micarta! Stuff is so damn tough to sand down...sticking to G-10 from now on :).

bro, that looks awesome! Obviously, I can't hold it but that knife looks super comfy :thumbup:
 
Nice work.
Try using files to shape micarta, then sand to the texture you want.

Thanks, but I prefer my dremel :). I'll be making some OD green micarta scales for my tweeners when I get them and then that'll probably be it for the micarta.
