Damn it! No more BK-2s after this…They just end up as “Beefy bushcrafters” and not train wreckers :(…

Right so if no one knows why I'm kinda pissed about this blade please go and read
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/940548-CUSTOM!-One-of-a-Kind-Becker-(Pic-Heavy)
you guys know that blade is riddled with problems and after that I decieded to not mod anymore BK-2s and try to be more careful with my work...

So a while back I picked up another BK-2 generally intending to keep it more or less stock but eh…One thing leads to another and then you end up with something like this. Ok so it’s still missing the lanyard tube but eh, its just a little metal tube for the lanyard hole so you’re not missing out on anything amazing but here it is! This was the same BK-2 that was in my tutorial on how to remove blade coating but ALOT slimmer now.

I began customizing it intending to just give it a clip point so to keep a lot of its substantial weight but really didn’t like the look of it and honestly, when I don’t like the looks of something (Especially my knives) I just go and destroy it and this poor 2 ended up looking like a SOG Seal Pup, you know with the hump in the blade and thumb ramp and whatnot so that explains why the blade is so skinny.

Sheath is just a generic kydex sheath, black .08 kydex, you probably wouldn’t look at it twice or turn your head…

For a carry option I just got some Condor MOLLE straps (Hey, I'm just a random kid is his garrage, I'm no kydex master :p), similar to Maxpedition tacties, burned a hole in them and Chicago screwed them to the sheath, not really fancy but it does kinda remind me of those spec ops sheaths and also allows for MOLLE compatibility, you just have to remove the screw that goes through the straps and replace it with a ¼” Chicago screw instead of the ½” one.

RANDOM PART: Drain holes in kydex DON’T drain out all the water, at least not in my sheaths…There’s always a small amount left in. Just thought I’d say that since I’ve seen people before (not really on here) say that kydex is better since it won’t retain moisture.

Tried to get the handles perfectly symmetrical since I’ve come to realise that I don’t get these blades for free, all the materials, shipping and blades come from my pocket and I really think I should make the most of it and not like my old rule of “Eh…It’ll grind out”.

Thanks for stopping by and yeah, you know, let me know what you think. Thanks guys :).

 Boss scales man, best way I could describe them is refined flare. They stand out but they don't look alien on the knife at all. Very refined and purposeful setup as a whole.

I like version 2.0 Cam you are getting better and better at modding those 2's. It's fun to see your skills/craft improve with each project. I really like the subtle clip job that you did on the blade. I also dig the ingenuity used in sourcing those straps for the sheath. Nice kydex bending also. Looks like a pro did it. All in all very impressive for just a, "random kid in his garage."

You've inspired me to go work on my BK2 for a while today. It's been "in the shop" for a month now and I really miss that blade.

Damn, That is stunning! It looks comfy to use. What do you do with all of these modded Beckers when your done?

Cheers Wambo!

Wow! Best bk2 I've seen so far. Where'd you buy the g10 from?

Sent you an e-mail man :).

Wow!
Nice work Cam.
Impressive as always.
Those G-10 scales are sweet!

He returns! Wow man, amazing work again. I would buy this thing in a heart beat, I love the shape of the scales, they look really comfortable (as well as snazzy!).

I do gain a little extra confidence though when people say that they’d buy this or pay me to do that to one of their blades. I just look at all the other craftsman/knife makers here like “Damn…Like hell anyone would want my sh!t after seeing that:”. The scales are decently comfortable but I ground the contour to long so it does feel kinda funny in hand, ideally it should have been smaller so the back flares out abit so you have more area to hold on to when you’re chopping. Live and learn or something like that right? :D
