Custom BK Scales

About a month ago I got my BK14 in the mail and ordered some custom scales from a knife maker here on the forum. Since then I got to thinking and started to make some of my own scales out of just junk wood that I had laying around. After some practice I have decided that I am going to make some sets of scales to sell on the forums to my fellow Beckerheads!

I just finished ordering my first set of wood blanks, these are the following options of the first run of handles.

As of right now I only plan on working with wood. Maybe later on I will venture into different material.

I will be making a few sets of each wood for the BK2, BK14 and BK16, as these are the only Beckers I have!

Hopefully start of next month I will begin listing them for sale on the forums. Beckerheads will get $10 off on scales! I don't have a wood burner yet but eventually I would like to include Beckerhead numbers onto the handles!

Always glad to see more custom options for Beckers. I would love to see some example of ur finished work.

I can't wait to see these! Those would look REALLY nice, and you've got all the tweeners and large BKs covered for handle sizes, the only ones you don't have are the 11 and 13, which I think are the least common for wood scales.

Some excellent wood choices, love Desert Ironwood.

Make sure you check with some of those woods before working with them, some of them will cause some serious allergic reactions like that cocobolo.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product, some nice grains of wood there.
