So I finally finished fixing up my pride and joy. In my last post I showed my patina work in detail and the other little stuff I'd done, but I recently added some more major changes. First of all, a buddy of mine had a Spec Ops brand Combat Master sheath for his blade and I had fallen in love with it, so I ordered one for myself. They're really well built and I'd highly recommend them if you're considering a new sheath for your BK2. The hefty blade fits like a glove. I've got a rubber band and just a cheap paracord bracelet I had laying around wrapped around the lower part of the sheath just for added insurance that I won't lose my fire steel or the other little things I have stored in the front pouch. Now I'm particularly proud of the handles on this bad boy. I wanted some slab micarta scales, but I'm not particularly skilled at making things like that myself. I got in touch with TommyTheWho and gave him a general idea of what I was looking for, and he pumped out these beautiful scales. They're a joy to look at and a joy to hold just the same. He does some great work and keeps the whole process simple. I'd highly recommend him to anybody looking for wooden or micarta scales as well.
