I recently decided to strip my BK2 and try for a mustard patina. It ended up kinda splotchy, but it still looks pretty good to me. I was also pretty happy that the laser engraving stayed visible after stripping and drowning this thing in mustard. Haha.

For anybody wondering, I also added some tape to the handle just for a little more grip until I can get my hands on some different scales.

Not bad for your first attempt. I've seen a guy (C. Tanner) on here that uses tennis racket grip tape on his grivory handles and he swears by it. I tried it once but didn't love it.
If you can, get a set of factory micarta scales from Tomars. You'll be glad you did. Ir if you prefer G10, 710 makes some that I hear are awesome!

Welcome to the addiction!!!

A bit of bicycle innertube rolled over the middle part of the handle will have more effect and your knife won't look like it's bandaged. (and there won't be stickum everywhere when you take it off)

I like the arctic camo style patina.
