The endura is my favorite spyderco. Its not too long and not to short for EDC. Its highly capable for both defense and utility work.
My ideal knife is a endura with a axis lock, glass breaker, Screwdriver, LED light, waved with a combo edge. Ive managed to get 4 of the 6 into this and will hopefully play with a LED light soon.
My only issue was the combination of knife I want is not available direct from spyderco, so I had to hack my way there.
Knives cannibalized:
Lone World Glock tool Endura
USN Endura
Benchmade 915 Triage (for glass breaker tip)
I have not attached the glass breaker tip but it will be fairly simply, just making a small space for the carbide tip and then JB Welding it in.
The screwdriver piece first involved me dremeling the screwdriver pieces to lock together in a U shape and then JB Welding them together. Its extremely solid, I already tested putting some serious torque on the bit.
Pics!
The next thing I will be doing is replacing the plastic piece the screwdriver attaches to with a stainless or aluminum substitute. After that I will see if I can find a micro LED light to fit in somewhere.
