Custom blade replacement for old Uncle Henry Trapper?

I posted the below pic about a week or so ago of my three generations of knives— the SAK is mine from when I was a kid, the Camilus was issued to my dad in 73’, and the Uncle Henry Trapper (285 UH) was my grandfather’s. You can’t see it from this angle, but the clip point (?) blade was bent at the front (pretty sure I did that when I was a teenager). Trying to bend it back the other day I broke off the tip of it. Needless to say I’m mad at myself...

I’ve tried contacting Schrade, as well as the company that now owns the Uncle Henry brand about paying for a blade replacement, but haven’t received a response from either. Does anyone know if there is a custom maker here on BF that takes on this kind of work? I would love to have new blades put on this knife and make it usable again. BTW I’m pretty new to the world of slipjoints/traditionals so please forgive my ignorance.

Thank you. I had considered that, but didn’t really want to waste the other half of the knife after taking out the blades. Might end up being the most sensible option though.

OP, I'm very interested in this as well. I have an old Case that came from my father that has a broken blade. I would very much like to fins someone with the skills and materials to replace that broken blade.

Several very talented people on here if you can find an good used knife of the same model, as previously mentioned. Glennbad would be my go to as I have a couple examples of his work.

Some dealers may have a supply of NOS Schrade USA blades from the bankruptcy sale back in 2004.
I found replacement NOS Schrade USA replacement blades for my USA Old Timer 7OT AND 6OT at a online dealer a couple years ago.
Sadly it seems that dealer has shutdown during the Covid 19 pan(ic)demic shutdowns. Because of the shutdowns or the owner died or retired, I don't know.

I'm pretty sure there was more than one online dealer who stocked them. From what I remember, none were sponsoring dealers here, so I cannot name them. (at least not without getting into a bunch of trouble and probably banned.)

It is highly unlikely that BTI, the current owner of the Uncle Henry brand will be able to assist you. (a) They don't warrantee the old USA made knives. (understandable) And, (b) All current production Imperial Schrade, Old Timer and Uncle Henry knives are manufactured under contract, offshore. They don't stock parts. If you have a warranty issue with a current production Schrade product, they replace the knife, not repair them.

Your probably better of looking for a unused, or gently used version of the same pattern. They made tons of those knives and there are lots of them still out there on the secondary market. Those Uncle Henry Schrades were decent knives, and were reasonably priced. You would spend way more trying to get it repaired than finding a replacement. The damage to the knife is part of its story, in my mind. Stuff happens. Those blades also look like they have a decent amount of wear to them.

The blades have definitely been sharpened within an inch of their life! It’s really unfortunate, I probably broke off 1/4” off the end. And it’s the one that says it was made in USA. I don’t think I would get one on the secondary because it’s really just about the sentimental value, though it actually is a nice knife.

I get the sentimental thing, me, I'd sharpen what's left and use it as is...
