The cord is made out of hemp. Working on a drill in same style at this moment. Will post a pic when ready.

I thought mine was cool, til I saw yours. Made mine from a Bison rib bone. The deer hip socket is too thin and gets HOT. I laid leather over it, but burnt it out quickly.

Looks cool to me! I got a rib from a horse from a buddy, gonna make one of this rib too. I like natural materials for projects like these.
