Hello, I am having trouble finding a knife that I have imagined that is made commercially. But what I would like is a Bowie knife made in the likeness of the "Bark River mini Rogue" but in a blade length of 12 inches or so. I want the knife to be well made but not fancy. This knife resembles The knife that is associated with Jim bowie and thats what I need. The Handle should be approx 6 inches or so. I want this to be part of my 1870's Great plains Indian Fighter Outfit. Any ideas on people that might be able to make me one? Thanks a Ton and happy holidays!! Thanks G

Most collectors usually call these "Tah Chee bowies" no matter the size now. Carrigan Bowie usually referred to the smaller sized example though -

Can't vouch for it, but Crazy Crow offers one in the larger size -

PJ Tomes is out of the game, but he made beautiful examples in all different sizes and handles -

Tim Ridge has a good reputation - http://www.swampfoxknives.com/ .

Mark Banfield - http://www.banfieldblades.com/bowies.html , has made them before. Really nice work.
