I'm looking for a custom or handmade knife that uses the replaceable box cutter blades. Who makes one?

Hawk Shortcut seems to be the final boss of box cutters. Pricey thing, though.

Check out the Rexford RUT.

Not sure if he's still making these- Daniel Fairly Knives Daniel Fairly Knives
I don't have one myself but they look really nice!

Turnback Knife Company. They come in copper, brass, titanium, and black. No tools needed to change blade. Awesome tool.

Custom or handmade would have to be a fixed blade, the makers here could do some interesting stuff.

There's been an explosion of utility folders/retractors out there, but IMO only a few that are really interesting. Most makers just take a regular folder and swap out the blade. I'd say some of the best out there are:

Rivery Zero: Really innovative, fun to fidget with, and functional.

Chaves CHUB OTF: There are a bunch of knockoffs playing off the idea of a utility OTF, but this is the best one by far. Well made even by OTF standards.

Moyeworks Baly 3: The best of the utility balisongs, not easy to get here though.

Hawk Shortcut: Interesting design and probably the most expensive option, debatable if it's worth it but I want one :P

There are a handful of other expensive ones out there, but harder to justify IMO. CKF made a really cool looking one (and the similar Rexford RUT), but both are pricey for what they are. Snecx has an interesting concept with the Mono, but Twosun makes the TS149 and I don't see anything it gives up for 1/6 the price.

There are several smaller makers with cool offerings on Etsy. Well worth a look, IMO.
