You are right.Ebony, Black Palm wood, Buckeye Burlwood, Ironwood are all "real wood". The Oak, Walnut, Bluewood, Cherrywood are a stained birch laminate "Dymondwood"
Apparently not everybody a buck knows what the scales are made of but the oak in the Walnut are not solid.Not according Buck. I guess we’ll see.
Good choice with the Ironwood and brass I think it is a good looking combination. I prefer the rocker pin not be there so you can get a clean piece of wood for a handle.Yup it’s very confusing and not fair. They need to be more clear especially with a custom deal. I ended up ordering a brass buck 110 with s30v and ironwood scales with brass pins. Not sure how I feel about the stainless lockbar pivot pin not being present...I like how it looks.
I think it’d be cool if I could get a barehead custom from the factory. I don’t have the skills or knowledge to do one myself, but I see all you guys with all these fancy custom scales you do all the time.....![]()
