custom buck 110 sheath???

Hi all,

I just got a BPS 154 buck 110 but I hate the sheath. I was wondering if anyone does open top sheaths for a 110?

Hey Brett!

I just got the 110 AG from Cabelas, (again, long story) and have an order in for two new custom 110's. I am planning on getting a couple of new custom sheaths. Here are a few options

Vadim Grynko; vessleatherworks

Gary Graley; G2 knife sheath

Firebrand Leather


I have had one from Vess, a couple of summers ago, very well made. Gary is going to make one for my Stag custom 110 in a few weeks. Try these guys!

actually, the more I look at that pic, the more I like it. I wonder if he does deep brown rather than black?

If you want to get as simple sa can be....Cut the flap off....I did on my 111 club Buck [new radis sheeth] it works great!
 
funny you say that, i did EXACTLY that and it works pretty well. Still I yearn for a nice sheath..:)

I even took the buck button off the flap, cut the leather off it and snapped it on. Works great.

Still......

I think I am ordering one from Jack. super nice guy and his sheath design really has grown on me.

These aren't open top but I got them for my 110's from AG Russell. They aren't too expensive and they are a lot nicer than the ones coming from Buck these days. The brown ones from Buck are so greasy from the dye, that the felt cover over the snap on the inside of the sheath won't stick to the leather and gets the knives all gooey as well as exposing the metal snap to the knife.

LOL -- the picture I posted was taken in a mirror... so, it could be you were looking at a reverse image. :D

All kidding aside; great sheaths, and Jack R is a great guy to work with on creating the perfect sheath.

I'm thinking I'd like to have him make one for the Buck Titanium 560 (user) I have -- it's a little too wide to fit properly in the 110 sheath.

well, I am not sure how much better service I could have gotten.

Jack not only sold me a kick butt sheath, but he SENT IT OUT TODAY!!!!

I will post some pics once I get it.

WOW!!!! I got my sheath from Jack today and it's absolutely amazing!!!!

I mean, seriously, it's perfect. I'll let you judge for yourself.

Jack: a BIG thank you for being so helpful and making me a perfect sheath.
