Folks, I am wondering if any of you could help me out? A good buddy is getting to retire soon after 29 years. We served in the Marines together and he’s the reason I moved out West. We’ve worked together at our current job for over 28 years. He’s been a good hunting and fishing buddy during that time so I wanted to have a custom shop Buck made for him. I’ve settled on either a 110 or 112 with Nickel silver bolsters and Elk handles. What I’m asking, does anyone have a 110/112 with and without rivets with elk handles they’d be willing to post side by side so I could see how they actually looked? Thanks if you can.

Just posting so that I can see the pictures that get posted. I am also curious to see some examples. I loved the nickel silver and elk on the forum knives a few years back.

Unfortunately, I don't have any custom shop 110s or 112s to post, but just for some semi-relevant knife content, here is a couple of the forum knives.

315 315 I don't think you can go wrong either way. Being smaller than the 110 I think with horn or antler it looks best without rivets.

Here are a couple of links to threads dedicated to the 112. You'll have to put time in looking at a lot of wonderful 112s but it might help if no one can post the comparison photo you want.

Thanks guys, I’ll have to give it some thought but I can’t wait too long.

Say no to rivets on antler handles. They look better without the rivets. IMHO

agree there. visually much better without rivets/pins.
Thanks fellas, I’ve cruised through a lot of pictures and I think you’re right. No rivets it is.
