Hey y'all, Can anyone tell me if Buck does a custom 112? I really like the smaller size of the 112. Thanks!

They did for a limited time about a year ago and many here got in on those . Perhaps someone will post some photos of theirs for your enjoyment . DM

I really don't know why they don't offer a Custom 112, all the time

I have to believe they would sell very well. But then again, I'm a little partial to the 112 :D

I would be down for at least five custom 112's.

:thumbup::thumbup:

I would too!

So what's the chances if there's enough interest generated, Buck would perhaps start offering them again? :D Hey, a guy can dream, can't he??

I'd take a half-dozen in D2 or BG-42 or 440C or Damascus if they're STAMPED "Custom" with the Anvil stamp and the slab materials are up to par.....(remembering that ugly washed out alleged KOA Flamewood that Plumber Dave got in a 110 a while back).

Some Desert Ironwood might be good.....how about some Ivory Micarta?

(They really need to lose that swishy "Designer's Choice" stamp, though.)

I would also be very interested in custom 112s. A few years back when they were doing the BG-42 blade replacements, I got an old 112 with some really nicely grained macassar ebony on ebay and sent it in. It's in this picture:

To be honest, macassar ebony with good grain is one of my favorite handles, and I like it better than anything that is currently offered by the custom shop. I would like to see it come back to Buck's lineup.

I just wonder what the ratio of custom Alpha Hunters to custom 110's ordered is? I never hear anyone bragging about or showing off their new Custom Shop Alpha!

I would think that Buck would be better off dropping that one and adding the 112. I'll bet sales would skyrocket, at least for a while.

Dave,
Great point about the Alpha, don't think I've ever seen a CS version either.

And since Buck seems to be looking to market to women the 112 would fit that plan to a tee (sorry, just had to:D)

That's alright, I'll just have to find a matching purse to go with my 112 ;):D

Words of wisdom!

Anybody from Buck listening?

And shoes, don't forget the shoes!!!!!!!!:D

All kidding aside I think the 112 would be far more profitable than the Alpha for the custom shop.

Hope that if they change though they give us a X week notice since I may decide that I "need" an Alpha before they go away.

I would like to see Custom Shop 301's!

Imagine a 301 in jigged buffalo, stag, or the various woods, with S30V steel. And the option of engraving the main blade.
:)

I betcha jb has a couple/few. If they arent customs, theyre some nice LE's

I Just love this thread. I do have a few Alpha LE's, hell more than a few.... but, no CS Alphas. You know fellas.....I had sent a nice email to one of the Buck's and asked if I could get a DM mini Alpha with sambar handles......the next year the full sized Alpha's were offered in the CS and DM was in the blade line up....I asked for the girly mini Alpha:(:p. So I guess you don't always get what you want. But, it never hurts to ask!

I agree that a CS 112 would be g-r-e-a-t!!I've been pining for one for a while now.I also think a CS 55 would be a dandy addition.
