Here is a Buck Vantage pro I customized for myself.
A 3.25" S30V blade, BOS (pronounced Boss) heat treatment and made in America. A flipper design.
Model 0347BKS-B.
I started by grinding a swoop into the top to the butt. Then ground some style (with an "S") into the butt.
I tossed the back spacer, added standoffs and a new lowride clip. Clip has been stonewashed. Drilled and tapped the clip screws and back scale screw to a #4-40 screw size. Much stronger than the #2-56 Buck uses.
Then put some nice coarse textured Orange G-10.
Now it fits my hand, perfectly. I have medium to large hands. I believe it is a WAY better EDC than original.
Lock up is at 40%, the same as it was when I started. The action is still tight and the blade is slightly off center. As the action loosens, the pivot can be adjusted to bring the blade back to center. It just needs to wear in.
All parts were hand fitted. ONE OF A KIND!!

This shows a centered blade, but action is a little too tight to thumb flick it open, so I adjusted it for a better wrist flick. So baled is a little off center. Still needs to have all the new parts seated in.
