Hello Kailash Baldes!
I have a few original kukri that I would love to see re-made into functional, working piece's.
I would like to know the best way to communicate these ideas. And who i would I be dealingwith.
Andrew? or another member of staff at kailash?

Cheers for now.

Hey there Caldey- I handle custom designs however our books are closed for full customs for the foreseeable future.
We have too many other projects to focus on and these use up quite a lot of team resources. With this said we've made many such replicas in the past and it's possible we may already have an existing pattern and speclist to match the knives you own.
Take care,
Andrew and the team at Kailash

Nice one Andrew!.Good to hear that you guys are busy. Hopefully the team will be beating the steel for my order sometime soon. (Ordered a pensioner a week or so ago) In my experience of these things, a good quality product requires patience on the customers end. Infact a 3-4 month wait is quite speedy TBF. And I'm in no rush. As for a custom order, my tastes are quite simple. I have always liked the idea of a mk3 with a micarta handle. Good, solid tool that mk3. Very basic but effective and with a proven history. The better steel and modern handle material you guys offer would make it an incredibly tough and reliable bit of kit.
I seen a post ,somewhere on this forum, of a customer enquiring if you could make a mk4 kukri. I believe you mentioned that you have the pattern/blue print for it. If i remember correctly those were made by Wilkinson Sword Company originally. It was a refined mk3, made to a more exacting standard. (Not many of those originals knocking about now..they were then, and remain, quite a controversal kukri from what i have learned). Anyway. All the best for now. And when time/means allow I'll get onto you about a custom. Cheers guys

Yep we're busy bees that's for sure.
We have an mk4 pattern and have made 2 at custom request now. the mk3 pattern is near identical in profile just with some spec and detail changes. Send us an email at customdesign@kailashblades.com if you'd like an accurate mk4 or an mk4 with modified thickness/grind etc that's closer to an mk3.
