Hey Guys....

Thanks much...

The cut outs are exactly the same on both sides,,so it works for lefties (As pictured) or righties as well...

Aqua....

The Busse is 0.60/0.60

The Intruder is 0.60/0.80

Eric.....georgeous handi-work. You have Got-IT!!!!!!!!!!wolf

Hey Wolf,,Mick...

Thanks:)

Mick...

Actually after looking at those Strider and Simonich camo blades it's what Inspired me into attempting this...

I love that camo stuff,, it looks Way cool..My next one is Tiger Striped...

Now if only I could get some White Concealex,, I'd made some Bovine camo..Would Look Great around the Dairy Farm..:) LOL

Tanks..:)

Hey Eric, is there a functional benefit to the camo? Like a stiffer sheath providing a tighter lock onto the blade? It definitely looks cool; just wondering if it provides any benefits besides that. Thanks.

Hey Burke...

It does stiffen the sheath up a little, gives it a little more structure,,little more backbone if you will..

It's mostly cosmetic though..

As far as retention goes..On my sheaths it helps little to none as I rely on the guard not the blade to hold the knife in place..
You can see that I intentionally kept the "skin" away from the mouth and guard of the knife...

Thanks

Eric...

do they make the concealex in hunter orange? that would look very cool as well. i'm not a hunter but I love the safety orange color and it would look sharp against the black. I'm sure you're already thinking about a dark and light brown desert camo as well. or black and grey urban. maybe the camo skin could be functional and be shaped to hole a spyderco double stuff sharpening stone or something like that? oh by the way I think I forgot to mention that those sheaths
ROCK!!

Very Nice Eric! I have to get over to see those up close. I think I need one for my Steel Heart. There are a couple other knives I have that need sheaths, I'll be talkin to ya.

Hey Kyle..

Thanks..:)

Beautiful, but I have a question. Is this concealex that comes like this, or do you color it or coat it? or layers??

Hey William...

Thanks:)

Someone coined the phrase "Skin"..That's exactly what it is..

I build the sheath body, then apply the "Camo Skin" over top of the sheath body..

This is something that has to be done at the time of pressing,,and connot retro an existing sheath..

Everything is Concealex, albeit it possibly different thicknesses..
The Camo Skin is very tight to the body of the sheath and will not rattle or flop about..It is in every way part of the sheath...

Thanks and if you have any more questions,,Please ask Anytime..

I really like this sheath style. What about extending the edges of the green concealex just a bit in a random lobed leaf-like pattern to break up the outline of the sheath for extra camouflage?

Hey Eric, that is pretty darn slick, I like it a lot. Bounus points for originality and creativity with Concealex. Can't wait to see some of these at the Wolverine show in January (hopefully you will be there).

If Jeff keeps on making models like that I'll have one of those sheaths sooner or later.

Take care,
Tom
