I'm looking for a recommendation for a chef knife. My best friend and cooking, fishing, hunting buddy is getting married this November and I want to have a chef knife made for him. I'm looking for around an 8-9 inch western chef knife.
Weird part that makes this interesting: I ordered a couple little pieces of narwahl horn that I'd like incorporated into the handle somehow. I'm hoping this is where it gets interesting for someone who wants to do this. I already have the completely legal Narwahl horn, pre ban
I'd be fine if they lined a bolster, were just an angled line across the handle, or even ended up in the middle of the handle almost like a shield on a slip joint. I'd just like them on the knife somehow.
Anyhow, otherwise I'm looking to stay around $300-400 and need it done by the end of October.
Let me know if you have any recommendations or are interested in making this.
